NASI KERABU
with AYAM GORENG BEREMPAH
Salad Rice with Fried Spiced Chicken
(Take-Away Dinner)
This evening, Bryan brought home 3 packets of nasi kerabu.
He had met a friend who runs a restaurant selling Kelantanese food (and other Malay delicacies) and decided to bring some of the mouth-watering goodies home. :D
Nasi Kerabu literally means assorted vegetable rice or salad rice. Got that definition from the net. There is the blue rice, a generous helping of solok lada (fish flakes with toasted grated coconut and chillies), vegetables (raw), fish crackers and fried spiced chicken drumstick.
You just gotta eat with your fingers ...
to really appreciate this meal. :D
Mouth-watering O-M-G delicious ...
Tackle the chicken ...
Yes, with your fingers, please.
Mix Mix Mix ...
Leave the spoon alone.
Scoop Up ...
(No utensil in the world can do this!)
... and enjoy a mouthful of the most flavor-some,
awe-some, any other-some-that-You-can-think-of
Kelantanese delicacy You have ever tasted.
Savour every bite, every chew, every munch.
You may even have to close your eyes,
and do slow breathing exercises
to luxuriate the moment further
as You delight in your Nasi Kerabu! :D
Today, I had my one shake of The Green Drink,
sandwich for lunch and the above for dinner.
To Sum Up
