Day 119 : Homemade Lamb Burgers

HOMEMADE LAMB BURGERS

This afternoon, Justine and I were at MPH Bookstore, Midvalley Mall, when Bryan sent a text message to say : 

Let's make burgers tonight. Buy lean minced meat 
and white mushrooms.  

Only this morning, my friend Mike, had emailed and jokingly suggested that we do sausages and burgers at our next cooking meet. :D  Have VIBES will certainly travel. :D


3 simple steps :

1. Blend the Ingredients

2. Make the Pate

3. Fry the Pate

The Ingredients
minced lamb, button mushrooms, shallots, garlic, 
lemon grass, chilly, lime and coriander leaves (chop finely) 

1. Blend the Ingredients
shallots, garlic, lemon grass, mushrooms and chilly

2. Make the Pate
Mix all the ingredients together.
Add seasalt, pepper, lime juice and 
a dash of fish stock.

Scoop a portion out and mold into a ball. 
Flatten it. Coat it with flour.
We are using arrowroot flour. 
3. Fry the Pate
Shallow fry the pate. 
The burgers are a bit odd in shape. 
I'm using the spatula to pat the sides of the pate 
into a burger-shape, the best I can 
while it's sizzling in the frying pan.

The moment the pate hits the hot oil in the pan, 
the aroma of sizzling lamb began to penetrate 
every corner of the kitchen. 
The fragrant was just awesome. :D

We somehow could not get all the burgers to be 
of the same size. So, we ended up with all kinds of sizes 
from super-Deluxe-size :D, to a Baby size :D.

This is the spread we used for the toasted buns.
 Mayonnaise and lime juice.

Slice some lettuce and tomatoes, bring out the cheese, 
spread the mayo-lime on the bun,
and enjoy your homemade Lamb Burger!

No, the burger didn't tear. I thought so too.

Today, I was rushing in and out of the house, 
so I did not have my usual shake of  
The Green Drink
Neither did I have time to make juice. :(
I had chicken rice for lunch and burger for dinner.
I did take my fruits though and BioFruity.
