Day 32 ... Durian Feast!

This evening, Carol brought home some durians from Segamat.
So guess what we had for dinner???
Was glad that Hayley could join us though
I sms-ed her at the eleventh hour.

Would You look at that? Every single one is creamy and is what the King of Fruits should taste like ... Texture is perfect. Soft and smooth. Learned from AFC that the correct way to eat durians is to suck up the flesh. We ate with rice, and sugar-salt-santan water. Didn't know how to do the glutinous rice and didn't have time to check. The seeds are flat and small, which means more flesh. :D The better species.

We had 2 friends from Singapore who was tied up with their friends in town, and couldn't make it for dinner. So, we ended up with 2 packets of durians left. That would be Justine's lunch today. :D

Hayley is drinking water from the husk ...
She also bought red bean and corn flavour
POTONG ice-cream for dessert ... :D

Carol drank like 10 times from the husk. Says she was having an appointment tomorrow (Monday), which I am supposed to accompany her, and she doesn't want them to know what she's been eating the night before. Can so understand what she means.

LUNCH

After a whole month (July) of eating and cooking at home, told Bryan after church this morning that we should celebrate by going to our favourite Pan Mee Noodle coffee-shop for lunch. The noodles are homemade and the sambal sauce is out of this world! The restaurant's called JoJo at Kuchai Entrepreneur's Park. A must try is the Lat Jiu Pan Mee (the above). A favourite of Justine and Daniel's too. Jus was literally screaming that we went without her - she was at class then - and we didn't tapau for her bc Bryan doesn't like to tapau noodles when they would just clump up by the time you wanna eat them. We promised her we'd take her there this week. :D

After not having outside food for a whole month, the back of my throat felt a bit raw and tender after the spiciness. Never used to have the problem. So popped some BioGarlic pills for the anti-inflammatory effect, and VivaShield anti-oxidants, to make sure I don't wake up with a sore throat tomorrow rmoning. Took The Green Drink for tea time today. :D My trusted assurance that I'm doing the little that I can daily to keep the body clean. :D

To Sum Up
