Day 151 : Goreng Ikan Cencaru & Omelet

GORENG IKAN CENCARU
(TORPEDO SCAD OR JACKET FISH)

This evening, we are frying fish and making a simple omelet for dinner. We haven't got the time to prepare the chilly paste for the fish stuffing, so we're just gonna season with tumeric and shallow fry the fish. Tumeric-fried fish is absolutely delicious, by the way!

3 Simple Steps:

1. Season the Fish.

2. Fry the Fish.

3. Fry the Omelet.

1. Season the Fish.

Season with tumeric, seasalt, black pepper and shoyu.
Score the fish to ensure even frying.

Note that the jacket is already removed.

2. Fry the Fish.

Be sure the oil is hot and fuming slightly before frying.

Watch out for the splat!

The aroma is simply heavenly!

Perfect!

3. Fry the Omelet.

Saute garlic in sesame seed oil until fragrant.
Add long beans and carrots (both diced).
Fry Fry Fry.

Beat 2 eggs. Add seasalt, pepper and shoyu.
Pour over the diced vegetables.

Quarter the omelet with the spatula.
Flip over.

OMELET with LONG BEANS
and CARROTS

Totally amazing!

BoN aPPeTiTe!!!

Here's a tip how to enjoy your meal.
Mix the rice thoroughly with the omelet
and eat with your fingers! :D

We made a small side condiment with
raw minced garlic and chopped chillies
covered with dark black sauce.

Dinner is simply delicious!

I had my one shake of The Green Drink in the morning, noodles for lunch and the above for dinner.
