CHICKEN SOUP
with PASTA SHELLS
with PASTA SHELLS
Dinner is gonna be for Justine and myself. Bryan will only be back tomorrow night. We still have a small portion of rice left from last night's dinner. So, I'm thinking of just preparing some soup for this evening. A simple, no-fuss chicken soup. Will use up the balance of the old cucumber that Bryan used for his soup a few days ago. When I wanna have a no-fuss meal, I use the Pressure Cooker. :D
3 simple steps :
1. Boil the Soup
2. Boil the Pasta
3. Add Egg & Garnish
1. Boil the Soup
Fill the pot with filtered water.
Toss in garlic (smash whole), onion (whole),
chicken, old cucumber, goji seeds, 2 small plum-thing
(not sure what it's called, carrots, daishi kombu,
seasalt and a dash of sesame seed oil.
seasalt and a dash of sesame seed oil.
2. Boil the Pasta
When the soup is ready,
scoop some out to a small pot to boil the pasta in.
3. Add Egg & Garnish
Beat an egg and set aside.
When the pasta is ready, turn off the flame.
Add the egg in.
Garnish as desired.
I cut the daishi kombu into strips.
The soup is tasty and flavorsome, all natural ingredients.
With the pasta shells, it is quite a filling dish.
Justine preferred her soup plain
without the fancy decorations,
as she calls them. :D
Today, I had 2 shakes of The Green Drink,
the above pasta soup and yesterday's rice for dinner.
To Sum Up
2 shakes & 1 meal
Juice. BioFruity. Water.
