9am @ Condo Pool

Bryan went swimming this morning. Normally, I would swim too, but I didn't want to exert myself during this period, unnecessarily. So, sat by the pool and did some breathing exercises. That's the first criteria of Tony Robbins' 10 day program. Inhale deep deep deep into the lungs, hold your breath to a slow count of 4, exhale (count 2), inhale again ... Repeat 10 times, and do 3 times a day. Got a headache after that ... :(

The Green Drink ...

Day 1 is almost over.

Have decided to incorporate a 3 day liquid fast into the 10 days detox. Bryan and I have decided to do what works for us. He doesn't like the fasting idea and thinks I'm trying to kill him. As if I would do such a thing. And I didn't want to eat a proper breakfast and lunch, because once I start eating, I'd be like eating the whole day. Munching on this and that. So, we know our bodies. Hayley says she will start on the 4th. She's got a dinner to attend on the 3rd and would be difficult to clean out when you want to pig out. :D

To cleanse the body, apart from juices:-

(1) green drinks are recommended, with
(2) probiotics to replace the friendly bacteria,
(3) protein powder for energy and repair and development of tissues, and
(4) fiber to act as a brush to scrub the colon clean.

Mix them all into a shaker with filtered water, and add 3 cubes of ice. It tastes really good when chilled. In this blog, I'm gonna refer to this combination as ... ta - dah ...

The Green Drink.

Ooh, excuse me. Don't play ... :D

I assured myself that l'd have unlimited juice and fruits during the 3 days. And during detox, it's always advisable to have at least 8 glasses of water. Like cleaning the kitchen. You can't clean the kitchen with plenty of floor detergent, and not enough water.

Anyway, today I had my 3 shakers of The Green Drink, a banana and some jack fruit. And juices. And water.

Bowel movement was good. Energy level was good. Shoulder now a bit aching though. The book did warn about body aches and other healing crisis during a detox. Not to worry. It should pass.

Ah, I see ... You've come to check out what's become of my first day of Detox, haven't yer? Didn't think I could go through with it, did yer? Well, I have news for You ...

I - Have - Started ...

Yup, I did ... That's the important step ... To take the step to start something, that is. It's all easy talking and discussing and bloggin' but TAKE ACTION??? That's a separate topic altogether. Anyway, I'm glad to blog here that I Have Started My 10 Day Detox Program.

July 1st.

Day One.

You're probably wondering what's the above photo got to do with this entry, right?

Nothing actually. Those 2 beautiful cards were pencil-coloured by Madam Yoon from Sandakan. The cards I was talking about earlier? It's so identical, makes you wonder if a template was used. She really took some time out to shade the picture. Sent one to me first, and when she asked Bryan whether I received it, which at the time, I hadn't, she sent the second one. I received both at the same time. Maybe I was just meant to have 2 cards. Was touched by the gesture, got a Thank You card from Hallmark and posted to her, smsed her to look out for it. Maybe I should have sent her 2 cards ...

Going to take a rest now. Was on the chat line with my sister Jessie in the states for 3 hours just now. I typed, she read. She typed, I read. Then, we both typed, like we were racing to see who could type more. Yeah, we were both furiously typing away like 120 words per minute. Not sure now who read what after that. So after all that many words, need to give the eyes a break. Blog again later ... :D
