what is chiral?

was at my toast cafe this morning, midvalley. had roti canai. not bad, quite crispy and curry chicken was nice. asked bryan the easiest way to explain what chiral means. if i only want one line, what would it be?

long explanation would be ...

nature always come in pairs, left and right, eg, our hands, even though identical, there's a left and right hand. in order to shake the right hand of another, you need a right hand. that would fit perfectly. try shaking someone's right hand with your left. does not fit. so, ingredients that are chirally-correct are ingredients that "fit perfectly" into the skin receptors.

get it???

for a skin care product to work effectively, the ingredients must first be chirally-corrected, otherwise they would not "fit properly" which means, would NOT penetrate into molecular levels and would only remain on the surface of the skin. these chirally-corrected ingredients goes further and beyond nano ingredients (and nano are already making such a big deal about how small and how fine their ingredients are). not a big deal at all, bc eventhough they may be small and fine, but if not chirally-corrected, still cannot penetrate into molecular levels, as well as chirally-corrected ingredients can.

in short, all ingredients should be chirally-corrected for it to work effectively. this is an expensive delivery system. am fortunate to come across toujours la vie some 8 years ago ... :D

dropped bryan off at the pj center. before that, we had breakfast at lorong seratus tahun. don't normally order char kueh teow in the morning, but saw this guy eating with such relish, had to order the same thing. was very nice ... but much nicer as a shared dish. so you can share the calories too. :D

bryan and i had a really nice briyani lunch at j.m. bariani, subang jaya today ... the rice was fragrant, light and fluffy ... the mutton rendang was surprisingly quite tender ... the waitress said, ini paling laku ... the chicken piece though was a bit tough ... he should have told the waitress he wanted thigh and not breast ... :D ... between the both of us, we licked the platter clean ... yup, like jack sprat and his wife ... after a lunch like this, you just gotta take green barley and viva shield ... no excuses!

noticed last night, after uploading the photos, can't seem to find the older posts anymore. the very first post, eyes eyes baby (a little sharing ... newsletter) seems to be missing. will have to ask justine when she gets home from camp tomorrow (monday) ...

donashi ...

after the movie, we went to big apple for donashi. 18 lil mini sushi donuts and 4 large sugared donuts were shared by 7 people. the balance above, was creatively positioned by our civil engineer friend to shape a gingerbread man. :D
